Terms of Use
Worrier is an early prototype in public testing. By using it, you agree to these terms.
1. Who can use Worrier
Worrier is for adults. You must be 18 or older to use it, unless an adult sets up and supervises the account on behalf of an eligible user.
When you sign in, you confirm one of the following.
- I am 18 or older.
- I am 18 or older and I am setting up and supervising this account on behalf of an eligible user.
If you set up an account on behalf of someone else, you stay responsible for how it is used, for supervising that use, and for the content written in it. We may end access to any account that does not meet this requirement. Worrier is not designed or reviewed for children, and it must not be used by anyone under 18 without a supervising adult as described above.
2. Worrier is not medical care
Worrier is a wellness journal, not medical care. Worrier helps you write worries down and revisit what actually happened. It does not provide medical, psychological, or crisis care, it cannot diagnose or treat any condition, and nobody monitors what you write. It is not a substitute for a licensed clinician, and it never replaces emergency services.
Nothing in Worrier is medical, psychological, or professional advice, and using it does not create a clinician relationship. Always seek the advice of a qualified health provider with any question about a medical or mental health condition, and never disregard or delay that advice because of something you read here. If you may be in danger, read Safety and Crisis Support and contact emergency services. Worrier is not monitored, does not detect risk, and cannot respond to an emergency.
3. Your journal and your account
What you write stays yours. We store it so it can sync between your devices, and we do not publish it, sell it, or use it to train models. Keep your Google account secure, because anyone with access to it can reach your journal. See the Privacy Policy for the details.
4. Sharing a worry on the World map
You may publish an individual worry to the World map by ticking the box while you write it. Doing so is your decision each time, it applies only to that one worry, and it publishes the words, the category, and a wide area — not your name. Only share something you are willing to have read by anyone, do not publish another person’s private information, and remember that a shared worry cannot be recalled from anyone who has already seen it. We may remove anything published to the map.
5. Trends is a demonstration
Everything on this screen is seeded demo content written for the prototype. It is never private journal data, and no worry you write is ever published here. Do not treat the numbers or percentages on that screen as research, statistics, or evidence about real people.
6. Acceptable use
- Use Worrier for your own reflection, or to support one person as described in section 1.
- Do not attempt to access another person’s account or data.
- Do not probe, overload, scrape, or disrupt the service or its providers.
- Do not use Worrier to store other people’s sensitive information, or anything unlawful.
7. Prototype status and availability
This is a prototype. Features can change or disappear, the service can be interrupted, and data loss is possible during testing. Worrier is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent the law allows. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the prototype. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
8. Ending your use
You can stop at any time, and you can delete your account, every cloud-synced worry, and anything you published to the World map with Delete cloud data in the footer of the app. Deletion cannot be undone. We may suspend or end access to protect the service, its users, or to meet a legal obligation.
9. Changes to these terms
We will update this page and its date when the terms change, and we will tell testers about material changes before they take effect. Continuing to use Worrier after that means you accept the updated terms.
